Fall is in full swing across the Sandhills, and there's plenty to get out and enjoy in Moore County this weekend. Here's a look at what's happening:
Cinderella Comes to the Stage at BPAC
If you're looking for a special night out, the United European Ballet brings Cinderella, set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev, to BPAC's Owens Auditorium in Pinehurst this weekend. There are two performances: Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. on October 11. It's a beautiful blend of classical ballet tradition and fairytale charm, and a wonderful way to enjoy the arts right here in the Sandhills. Owens Auditorium is located at 3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst.
Explore the Scarecrow Stroll
The Scarecrow Stroll at the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens in Pinehurst continues through the season, with creative scarecrows tucked throughout the gardens. This year's American Revolution theme adds a fun local twist, and it's a great outdoor activity for families, gardeners and anyone who loves a bit of fall creativity.
Live Music, Shopping and Fall Dining Downtown
As always, downtown Southern Pines and the Village of Pinehurst are full of reasons to get out this weekend, from live music and local breweries to boutique shopping and cozy fall dining. It's the perfect time of year for a walk down Broad Street or a ride around the Village.
Looking Ahead: The Moore County Agricultural Fair
The 79th annual Moore County Agricultural Fair opens Tuesday, October 13 at the Moore County Fairgrounds in Carthage, running through October 17. With rides, livestock, exhibits, games, fair food and live entertainment, it's a can't-miss tradition for the whole family. Mark your calendar!
